The Screaming Iscreamist at Maginhawa

The Iscreamist is a Liquid Nitrogen ice cream shop, located at one of the famous food streets in Maginhawa. Established since July 2011. They offer ice creams, smores, and toasted marshmallows.

"Liquid Nitrogen is nitrogen that is cold enough to exist in liquid form. It is used for many cooling and cryogenic applications," Anne Marie Helmenstine, Ph.D. of www.chemistry.about.com said. This means that The Iscreamist was successful to put a twist on their ice creams, which also caught the attention of a lot of foodies.

When me and my friends visited The Iscreamist, there was a long line, and since we wanted to try it, we waited for almost an hour until we get in. The ambiance is quite bluish because of the lights they used and there was a smoky-effect because of the Nitrogen. The walls are filled with glass and neon writings as designs. One of the side of the wall has this Periodic Table of the Elements which is cool.

Dragon's Breath Smores is one of their best sellers, so we ordered it for P79 (4pcs.) and added a Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream for P163 (which you can choose from Sweet Cream or Coffee-based). There are instructions on one of the walls that says, you should follow the instructions in eating the smores to avoid the icy sting of the Nitrogen liquid. Their food price ranges from P50-P200. 

You must try, even for once, The Iscreamist's Liquid Nitrogen combined in their ice creams and smores. We enjoyed our order especially the experience we had while eating.
