Alice in Wonderland is a Walt Disney movie directed by Tim Burton based on Lewis Carroll’s novel Alice’s Adventure in Wonderland.

In my younger years, I liked different shows and films that involve Alice, who goes to different adventures and met different creatures along the way.

What I liked about Alice is that she envisions a world full of imagination. Unlike the other Disney characters especially the stories of the princesses, Alice, an ordinary girl has her own goals and dreams while the princesses, were waiting for their prince charming to come and save them from their misery. Well, I guess that’s stupid. I know that, we all have the right to dream of that someone but just waiting for them and not doing anything to have them? Whoa there!

Well, going back to the film Alice in Wonderland, Alice is a teenager already being prepared for marriage. Since she doesn't want to get married, she runs away and followed the rabbit which led her to Wonderland.

The film lack symbolism and the story have some parts predictable and at the same time, it had a twist at the end. Overall, the film used creative editing. The scenes were depicted cool, smooth and dreamy.

The film is full of messages. One message is about power, the power of the two queens fighting for the throne. Another is the dominance of the male, wherein most of the fighters were men, who do the dirty work for their queens. Another is bravery of Alice, where she fought with the Jabberwocky by believing that she can do it.

I think that the role of Alice in the film is that we should use our imagination to fill our lives with happiness and to get away from stress once in a while.
